On behalf of Head Coach Jake Boss and the Spartan Baseball team, I would like to invite you to participate in the third annual Military Appreciation Day at Michigan State Baseball on Saturday, May 7th at 1:00pm at McLane Baseball Stadium on the campus of Michigan State University. Admission is free with military ID. We'd be happy to provide additional tickets to accommodate family members attending. I'll need to know numbers 2 days prior. We can place tickets at Will Call or mail them out. We would also like the have a military vehicle(s) on-hand. If you are able to provide one or know who I can contact to do so, that would be awesome. The vehicles would need to be in place when gates open 2 hours and 15 minutes prior to gametime. Military groups are welcome to table at the event and hand out giveaways, information, recruit, etc. We can provide the tables and prefer that they are in place when gates open as well. American Legion National Commander calls for passage of Atomic Veterans Healthcare Parity Act WASHINGTON (April 18, 2016) – The head of the nation's largest veterans service organization welcomed a bill introduced in the Senate last week that would provide benefits to veterans exposed to radioactive fallout while serving in the Marshall Islands. "The American Legion Magazine recently reported on the enormous health toll environmental exposure has had on clean-up workers who served at Enewetak Atoll and other areas that conducted nuclear testing," said American Legion National Commander Dale Barnett. "Many of the workers, particularly those involved in operations conducted after the actual testing, are routinely denied benefits. Plutonium has a half-life of 24,000 years.
