"Helping OIF/OEF Vets" There is now a Military Heroes Emergency Financial assistance program for theses vets. For complete info see their website.
"Free Legal Services" The Legal Aid & Defender Association, Inc., is hosting numerous (17 to be exact) free legal clinics (priority for vets) in both Oakland & Macomb counties for the next 6 months, all starting at 10AM. "VA Golden Age Games coming to Detroit (Updated website)" The VA Golden Age Games are coming to Detroit in July 2016. This will be open to all veterans that are enrolled in the VA Health System. To get a sneak peek see early flyer or visit their new website to volunteer or participate!
"Buddy-2-Buddy April Job Fairs" These are the latest job fairs complied by B2B. They do not host these events. See flyer.

"Friday, Saturday & Sunday, April 22, 23, & 24, 2016" Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 154 & United Machine Association, present the Macomb County Veterans' Food Pantry Spring Car Show at the Gibralter Trade Center, Mt Clemens. "Saturday & Sunday, April 23, & 24, 2016" The Michigan Antique Arms Collectors, Inc., is hosting a purchase, trade, sell gun show at the Suburban Collection, 46100 Grand River, Novi, both days from 9AM till 3PM. All vets, military, first responders, etc, get free admission. At this time they are working on getting free parking, but not known yet if that will happen. "Saturday, April 23, 2016" Talons Out Michigan is having a Rosie The Riveter flight out of Metro Airport to take the Rosie's from WWII to Washington to the WWII Memorial. They are still looking for Rosie's that want to go, guardians to help on the trip, and other volunteers to assist. For more info you can call them at 269-273-4545. "Saturday, April 23, 2016" The Great Lakes National Cemetery Advisory Council is having a Spring Headstone Cleaning event to Honor & Remember those that served, at the Cemetery located at 4200 Belford Rd,, Holly, from 9:30 till 2PM. "Saturday, April 23, 2016" General Motors Corporation, in partnership with Building for America's Bravest, is hosting a Heroes Gala at the Diamond Center, Suburban Collection, 46100 Grand River, Novi, starting at 6PM and ending at 10PM. "Wednesday, April 27, 2016 (NEW)" The Wayne-Westland John Glenn HS, 36105 Marquette, Westland, is hosting a free USO Dance in the cafeteria, starting at 6PM. This is a free event for all veterans. For more info see flyer.
"Saturday, April 30, 2016" Dearborn American Legion Post 364, 3001 S Telegraph, Dearborn, is hosting their annual Brian Smith Memorial Live Vet Auction. Bit on your favorite vet! Event will be from 6 to 11PM. For complete funny details see attached flyer.
"Saturday, April 30, 2016" Victory Gym, 23936 Telegraph Rd, Brownstown, is hosting a fund-raiser to support vets & first responders. Boot camp, marital arts demo, live music, etc. Starts at Noon and runs till 9PM. Cost is $10 per person. For more info see flyer.
"Tuesday, May 3, 2016 (NEW)" The Federal Bar Association is hosting its 4th annual seminar of Veteran Treatment Courts. It will be held in room L44, Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, 2630 Featherstone Rd, Auburn Hills, from 1 till 4PM. For a complete listing of speakers & topics see attached flyer. This is a free event.

(LANSING) - The Michigan American Legion now has an accredited Veteran service officer available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week. The American Legion Veteran service officer services all veterans and their families with filing claims to the Veterans Administration on the veteran's behalf or to check the status of a claim already filed. Veterans and current service members in the Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties now have more opportunities to file their claim or ask questions. Centrally located in the tri-county area at 212 N.
