MSU Spartan Baseball Invites YOU to Military Appreciation Day Saturday May 2, 2015

On behalf of Head Coach Jake Boss and the Spartan Baseball team, I would like to invite you to participate in the second annual Military Appreciation Day at Spartan Baseball on Saturday, May 2 nd for their game against Purdue University at McLane Baseball Stadium on the campus of Michigan State University. Game time is set for 1:05pm.   We would like to invite any and all military personnel to attend the game FREE of charge. We will admit anyone in uniform and those who present Military ID for free. Also, if you plan on attending the game and would like to let me know ahead of time, we will provide tickets for you and your guests.   Throughout the game, we would like to feature members of the military. If there is someone special you would like to nominate for this honor and they plan on attending the game, please send us a brief biography and we will do a tribute to them between innings. The Oak Ridge Boys to receive The American Legion Patriot Award   INDIANAPOLIS (April 29 , 2015) – The nation's largest organization of wartime veterans today announced the selection of The Oak Ridge Boys as its 2015 recipients of  The American Legion Patriot Award. "By using their considerable talents to raise awareness and support for the needs of veterans and their families, The Oak Ridge Boys are an obvious choice for this prestigious honor," said The American Legion National Commander Michael D. Helm. "Duane Allen, Richard Sterban, Joe Bonsall and William Lee Golden are great Americans who have entertained people worldwide with their stirring hits and amazing record of success. The military allotment processor did not clearly disclose various recurring fees, which could total $100 or more. Ocala, Fla., High School Senior Sweeps to Victory, Earns $18K Scholarship in American Legion Oratorical Contest   INDIANAPOLIS (April 12, 2015) – A senior from Vanguard High School in Ocala, Fla., capped a busy weekend of competition in Indianapolis by earning an $18,000 college scholarship and first place in The American Legion  High School Oratorical Scholarship Program – "A Constitutional Speech Contest." Her winning oration was titled "Our Greatest Honor." Geeta Minocha started the weekend as one of 52 state or department champions in the 78th annual contest. She advanced to the championship through three rounds of intense competition. Rowan Macwan, a high school junior from Naperville, Ill., earned a $16,000 college scholarship with a second place finish, while Emma Skahill, a senior from Earlham, Iowa, earned a $14,000 scholarship and finished third.  The scholarships account for a small portion of post-secondary scholarships that The American Legio
