"Helping OIF/OEF Vets" There is now a Military Heroes Emergency Financial assistance program for theses vets. For complete info see their website.

"Free Legal Services" The Legal Aid & Defender Association, Inc., is hosting numerous (17 to be exact) free legal clinics (priority for vets) in both Oakland & Macomb counties for the next 6 months, all starting at 10AM. "VA Golden Age Games coming to Detroit (Updated website)" The VA Golden Age Games are coming to Detroit in July 2016. This will be open to all veterans that are enrolled in the VA Health System. To get a sneak peek see early flyer or visit their new website to volunteer or participate!

"Buddy-2-Buddy April Job Fairs" These are the latest job fairs complied by B2B. They do not host these events. See flyer.

"Friday, April 8, 2016" The American Indian Veterans of Michigan, 26641 Lawrence, Center Line, is hosting their annual Karaoke Night at their location. Admission is $5 with includes soft drinks, frybread, coffee available. For more info call Chris at 248-210-6153 or see flyer.

"Saturday, April 9, 2016" The Lawrence Tech University Student Vets (SVA) is hosting its annual Dinner & Tasting event at Farina's Banquet Center, 2485 Coolidge Hwy, Berkley, starting at 7PM till 11PM. This event helps students that need financial assistance in school. For tickets visit their website, and for more info see flyer. Cost is $35 per person.

"Thursday, April 14, 2016 " The Southfield Veterans Commission will host its annual Veterans Benefit Seminar at the Southfield Pavilion, Room 115, 26000 Evergreen, Southfield, from Noon to 4PM. Learn your benefits, hear about Vet Courts, etc. For more info call 248-796-4VETS or see flyer.

"Friday, April 15, 2016" The Michigan Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America is hosting an Awareness Day at the Novi Civic Center, 45175 10 Mile, Novi, to show the progress they are making to help paralyzed veterans, from 10:30AM till 3:30PM. For more info call (248) 476-9000 or see flyer.

"Saturday, April 16, 2016 " The Royal Oak Memorial Society is hosting a fund raiser for the memorial with the help of VFW Post with a day at the Greektown Casino. Bus will leave the VFW Post, 4th & Troy, Royal Oak, at 11:30AM, return there at 6PM. Cost is $30 which includes $20 in slot freeplay. "Saturday, April 16, 2016" The K-9 Michigan War Dog Memorial, 25805 Milford Rd, S Lyon, is holding the official K-9 Veterans Day Event starting at 11AM. Color Guard, Invocation, K-9 units, etc. Lunch afterward at VFW post 9914. Event is free. See flyer for complete details.

"Sunday, April 17, 2016 (NEW DATE)" The Michigan Military Technical & Historical Society is offering another in their lecture series about WWII, this time on "Japanese Balloon Bombs Over Michigan." with a 2PM starting time. Admission by donation. The Society is located at 16600 Stephens, Eastpointe. For more info see flyer.

"Tuesday, April 19, 2016" Detroit Cares is hosting a benefit for the Fallen & Wounded Soldiers Fund at Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle starting at 8PM, located at 310 S Troy St, Royal Oak.
