Listed below are only the events I have for the next 14 days here in the Metro Detroit area, of which there are 5 new items. You can also go to the Legion 328 website to download any flyer for these and future events (thru August) at  http://www.legionpost328.org/events.html Clicking on "attached flyer" for each event either below or on the future listing at the website will get you the flyer for that event.
If your group has an event benefiting veterans, or you hear of an event, please share with me so I can share with the veteran community.  I would rather get an event 3 times than not at all!  Please make sure any flyer lists address of event and a contact person!

"Weekly Detroit RUCK" Every Sunday Team Red/White/Blue, and 22 Until None, are hosting a RUCK starting at 10AM at Bobcat Bonnie's, 1800 Michigan, Detroit. Ends back at Bobcat Bonnie's around noon, about 4 to 6 mile RUCK. Bring any weight or none! For more info email Mike at Team RWB.
"The Wall That Heals" The Wall that Heals, an exact replica of the Wall in Washington, DC, from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, is coming to Howell at the Livingston County Spencer Hardy Airport August 23rd thru 26th. This event is hosted by DAV chapter 125. Help is needed with set-up, Honor Guard, teardown. If you can be of help call Anne Marie at 313-898-1086 or goto their website. "Get Your VA ID Card" For those vets not receiving medical benefits from the VA but would like the new ID Card for discounts at stores & shops, etc., visit the official source here.
"Pre-Approval Form for Burial at a National Cemetery" You can submit a form to the VA for pre-approval to be burial at a National Cemetery. Note: Understand they are 11 months behind in processing. The Form 40-1007 is here.

"Every Wednesday" Weekly classic car "Cruz'n VVA 528" every Wednesday from 5 PM to 8 PM. Burgers, hotdogs, beer, raffles at the VFW Post 6695, 1426 S Mill St, Plymouth, MI 48170.

"Thursday, June 14, 2018 " Premier Events Center, 20400 S. Nunneley Rd, Clinton Twp, is hosting a Charity Euchre Tournament for the Guardian Angels, a group that provides service dogs to vets. Cost is $25 per player. To pre-register visit their website. For more info see flyer.
"Thursday, June 14, 2018 " The Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council, Jointly with the City of Dearborn, will hold a Traditional Flag Burning Ceremony at 6:00 p.m. on the Top of the Hill at Ford Field in Dearborn off of Cherry Hill. This together with the U.S. Army's 344th Birthday will be celebrated.
"Friday, June 15, 2018 " The 3rd Judicial Circuit Court & The MSU office of government is hosting a Veterans Reboot, Rebuild & Reconnect Fair from 9AM till 2PM at the MSU-Office of Government & External Relations, 3408 Woodward, Detroit. "Friday, June 15, 2018 (NEW)" The World War II Legacy Memorial is hosting an evening of history music, The Music of WWII. This will take place at the Royal Oak Senior Center, 3500 Marais, Royal Oak, from 7 to 8:30PM. During the war, most of our troops had access to the radio. Along with the Armed Forces Radio Service, the U.SO., the Hollywood Canteen, "buddy kit" phonographs and "V" records, the home front did what it could to lift the spirits of U.S. servicemen and women at home and abroad. Join music historian Stu Johnson as he travels back in time to the music of WWII. Hear the sounds of jazz greats and the songs that touched the G.I.'s hearts, connecting with their feelings of hope, longing, loneliness and love. Discover how music played a vital role in victory. Stu Johnson is a past member of the Michigan Jazz Record Collectors. Ten years ago he began to give presentations throughout the metro area, giving over 100 talks, sharing his knowledge and love of historical music.
"Friday, June 15, 2018 " The Yankee Air Museum will have an exclusive showing of the play "Willow Run," an original play by Jeff Duncan, presented by the Purple Rose Theatre Company. "Sunday, June 17, 2018" Berkley American Legion is hosting a Breakfast fundraiser On the third Sunday of the month At the Berkley American Legion Post 372 at 2079 W.12 mile rd. between Woodward and Coolidge 248-542-7668 Doors open at 8:30 am with food service 9am - 12 noon.
"Sunday, June 17, 2018 (NEW)" Troy VFW Post 4037 is hosting a golf outing at Somerset Park Golf Course, 1911 Golfview Dr, Troy, with a shotgun start at 9AM. Cost is $40 for 9 holes, & cart. Lunch afterwards. All funds to help vets. Meet at the golf course.
"Wednesday, June 20, 2018 (NEW)" The monthly Veterans in Business meeting will be held at Level One Bank, 37100 Woodward, Bloomfield Twp, with a free lunch at 11:30. "Friday, June 22, 2018 " The United Shore Professional Baseball League is teaming up with the MI Military Technical & Historical Society for a family fun evening at Jimmy John's Field, 7171 Auburn Rd, Utica. "Tuesday, June 26, 2018 " All veterans, their families, and friends, may purchase Lower Baseline Box Seats at a discount price when the Tigers play the Oakland Athletics at 7:10PM.
