If your group has an event benefiting veterans, or you hear of an event, please share with me so I can share with the veteran community. I would rather get an event 3 times than not at all! Please make sure any flyer lists address of event and a contact person!

"Free Home Repairs for Low Income Vets" Rebuilding Oakland has grant money available to make repairs to the homes of low income vets, at no charge. Restrictions do apply. For more info about Rebuilding Oakland county see their Overview. Click on application to have your house repaired. This funding expires on March 15th, so don't delay.
"Free (or discounted) Tickets to Local Events" Vet Tickets offers free, or discounted, tickets to sporting events, concerts, etc. Visit their website to sign up and view events.
"Weekly Detroit RUCK" Every Sunday Team Red/White/Blue, and 22 Until None, are hosting a RUCK starting at 10AM at Bobcat Bonnie's, 1800 Michigan, Detroit. Ends back at Bobcat Bonnie's around noon, about 4 to 6 mile RUCK. Bring any weight or none! For more info email Mike at Team RWB.

"Saturday, March 10, 2018" Vets Returning Home is hosting its 4th annual Dinner Fundraiser at Royalty House Banquet Hall, 8201 E 13 Mile, Warren, from 6 till 10PM. Master of Ceremonies is Eli Zaret. Tickets are $50, table for 10 is $400. There will be live entertainment. "Thursday, March 22, 2018" The Desert Angel's are hosting another in their ongoing Packing Parties for the troops serving overseas, today at the Oakland Sportsman's Club, 4770 Waterford Rd, Clarkston, from 4 till 6PM. Our TROOPS are in need of the following items: VALENTINE COOKIES, COFFEE, HOT CHOCOLATE, GIRL SCOUT COOKIES, letters of encouragement. EVERYTHING from wipes, to food products, to snacks like dried fruits, nuts, meats, tuna etc. gum, candy.. even chocolate!! New socks and more socks, toiletries, so many items they do NOT have excess to. This is an opportunity to serve our TROOPS as they serve our country. YOU can make a difference!

"Friday, March 23, 2018" Veterans Community Action Team, Region 9, and USA Hockey, is hosting a Military Appreciation Night at the USA Hockey Arena, 14900 Beck Rd, Plymouth, starting at 5PM with a reception.
