Listed below are only the events I have for the next 14 days here in the Metro Detroit area, of which there are 5 new items. You can also go to the Legion 328 website to download any flyer for these and future events (thru November) at  http://www.legionpost328.org/events.html
If your group has an event benefiting veterans, or you hear of an event, please share with me so I can share with the veteran community.  I would rather get an event 3 times than not at all!  Please make sure any flyer lists address of event and a contact person!

"Adopt a Military Family" There are many Military families that struggle through the holiday season. Selfridge Adopt-A-Military Family Christmas Program allows donors to adopt a military family in need during the holidays. For more info on what you can do see their flyer.
"Holiday Deployed Troop Packing" The Women Marines Association, MI-2 Motor City Chapter, is collecting numerous items to pack and ship to our deployed troops this holiday season. The flyer lists the items they could use, drop off points, and other ways you can help.

"Thursday, November 16, 2017 (NEW)" The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is hosting a Veteran & active duty job fair at Ford Field, 2000 Brush, Detroit, from 11AM till 3PM. For more info goto www.recruitmilitary.com/Detroit or see flyer.
"Thursday, November 16, 2017 (NEW)" Soldiers' Angels is hosting another free food for vets mobile pantry from Noon till 2PM at the American Legion Post 375, 19486 Sherwood, Detroit. You must register in advance at 210-629-0020. See flyer for more info.
"Friday, November 17, 2017" Michigan Chapter of AARP, the DAV, MCAA, and Wayne County Vet Services, is hosting a Vet Benefit Seminar at Fellowship Chapel Banquet & Conference Center, 7707 W Outer Dr, Detroit, from 10AM till 1PM. "Saturday, November 18, 2017" Empowerment MI Women Vets is holding a free Women Vet Event at the MVF, 4626 Grand River, Detroit, from 9AM till 2PM. A host of guest speakers will attend. For more info call 810-373-5744 or see flyer.
"Saturday, November 18, 2017 (NEW)" Project Brotherhood Resolve in Lapeer is hosting its second annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Veterans from 2pm to 6pm at VFW post 4139 located at 128 Daley Road in Lapeer.
"Sunday, November 19, 2017 (NEW)" DAV Chapter 129 is hosting Fun & Games at their location, 47326 Dequindre, Shelby Twp, from 3 till 6PM. Various board games will be played with the veterans vs Oakland University freshmen. $5 admission. For more info see flyer.
"Tuesday, November 21, 2017" The Women Vet Empowerment Coalition is holding it's monthly meeting for only women veterans at the Michigan Vet Foundation, 4626 Grand River, Detroit, starting at 5:30PM. This is held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. For more info call 810-373-5744 or see flyer.
"Saturday, November 25, 2017 (Update)" American Legion Post 364, 3001 S Telegraph, Dearborn, is hosting a fund raiser for Wreaths Across American while watching the Ohio vs MI football game. Kick off at 11AM. See flyer for complete info. Plus: At 6PM the Legion Riders will host a Wings & Whiskey Fest with live entertainment starting at 8PM (busy post!). $20 for a chicken dinner.
