ANNOUNCEMENTS!
"Accommodating Wounded Warriors" Mentioned this a year ago but with the Holidays coming worth mentioning again. If you need special assistance when flying (wheelchair, early boarding, etc) the TSA will meet you at the door of the airport, get you thru security, and then to your gate. Your plane will also than be met by the TSA to help you get to baggage claim, etc. You must notify the TSA of your travel schedule at least 24 hours in advance at 888-262-2396 or via email at msusoc@dhs.gov.

"Thursday, November 12, 2015" Women Supporting Women in the Military and our Veterans is hosting a Hat & Scarf Suction at the Howell Elks Club, 2830 E Grand River, Howell, from 5:30 till 9PM. "Thursday, November 12, 2015" Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 267 is hosting an Hepatitis C Awareness & Education Initiative at the Dearborn Hgts VFW Post 6576, located at 6828 Waverly, Dearborn Hgts, from 10AM till Noon, including lunch. "Thursday to Thursday, November 12 to 19, 2015 (NEW)" Nonna's Italian American Cuturl Society Banquet & Conference Center is offering veterans a complimentary dinner every day. "Friday, November 13, 2015" The Michigan Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America is hosting its annual gala at the Suburban Collection Showcase, 46100 Grand River, Novi, starting at 6PM till 9PM. Guest speaker is Captain Joseph Keller. Tickets are $75 and sponsorships are available. For more info see attached flyer.
"Saturday, November 14, 2015" Congressman John Conyers, Jr., is hosting a Veterans Resource Fair from Noon till 3PM at the Westland City Hall, 36300 Warren, Westland. Light refreshments will be served. For complete details on who will be there & what resources will be available see attached flyer.
"Saturday, November 14, 2015 (NEW)" The Monguagon Chapter of the DAR is hosting a Vietnam War 50th Commemoration at 11AM at St Luke's E[Episcopal Church, 15603 Wick Rd, Allen Park. "Sunday, November 15, 2015" The Michigan Military Technical & Historical Society will present "Forging Thunderbolts" at 2PM at the Museum. "Tuesday, November 17, 2015" The Fallen & Wounded Soldiers Fund is hosting a night with author David Nelson of "The Blaine Family Chronicles. You will have the opportunity to bid on helping to name characters in an upcoming new book. For complete information on this event see the attached flyer.

"Thursday, November 19, 2015" University of Detroit - Mercy Law School is hosting a Criminal Expungement Law Clinic from 9AM till 11AM at SS Peter & Paul Church Sanctuary, 438 St Antoine, Detroit. "Friday, November 20, 2015" The Fallen & Wounded Soldiers Fund is hosting an auction to support Michigan's veterans at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant's Family Crest Room, 713 S Main, Frankenmuth, from 5:30 5ill 9:30PM. "Saturday, November 21, 2015" The Michigan Veteran Warriors Hockey Team will play the Red Wings Alumni at 5:15PM at the Royal Oak Ice Arena. Tickets start at $20 for a general adult admission, $5 for children. There are also a number of VIP packages available. All proceeds go to help veterans in need. "Saturday, November 21, 2015 " The Metro Airport Freedom Center Support Group in conjunction with US Marine Corps League & the BerkleyVFW Post 922 are hosting a spaghetti dinner at the post, in Berkley, from 6 till 9PM. "Saturday, November 21, 2015" Join the Association of the US Army, Arsenal of Democracy Chapter & the Women in Defense - Michigan, to celebrate MI veterans and to raise funds to benefit Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs. They work to pair medical service dogs to veterans here in Michigan. This event will be held at DC3S Center, 7205 Sterling Pond Ct, Sterling Hgts, from 6 to 9PM. "Sunday, November 22, 2015" The Michigan Military Technical & Historical Society is presenting another in their series on WWII, this time a Journey to Justice, a documentary film about a German Jew who fled Nazi Germany & his life as an American soldier, from 2PM at 16600 Stephens, Eastpointe.
