"Snow Removal Help for Disabled Vets" A new program to assist disabled vets with their snow removal has been started by EverGreen in partership with BOSS Snowplow. For more information call 877-758-4835 or see their attached letter.

"Housing Assistance for Vets" A new VA program, Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) is being run by Southwest Solutions to help low income vets moved into a home of their own. Contact Tamika at Southwest at 313-963-6601, ext 4207. For more infomation see the attached flyer.


"Friday, December 12, 2014 (NEW)" Stiggy's Dogs, which matches rescue dogs with returning vets in need of a companion, is hosting an Pawliday Open House at their training center, 203 Brookside Lane, Brighton, from 4 till 7PM. For more information see attachedflyer.

"Saturday, December 13, 2014" The Navy Sea Cadets are hosting a Wreaths Across America at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp, starting at 1PM. Come help place wreaths on all the veteran graves. Afterward they are hosting Tailgate party at 3PM at the American Legion Post 4 on Grosbeck Hwy. A full menu, bake sale, etc., for $5 per person. "Saturday, December 13, 2014" Wreaths Across American will be placing wreaths at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, starting at 10:30AM. If you wish to participate go to http://www.tiny.cc/WAAGLNC to find out what you can do.

"Saturday, December 13, 2014 (NEW)" The Macomb County Vet Center is hosting a watch the Army Navy game party at the Macomb Vet Center, 42621 Garfield Rd, Clinton Twp, starting at 3PM. RSVP to Katie at 586-412-0107. No alcohol will be permitted. See flyer for more details.

"Saturday, December 13, 2014" St Clair Shores VFW Pst 1146 is hosting a King of Rock & Roll Show at their post, 24404 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores, starting at 7PM. See Rock Harley as Johnny Cash & Matt King as Elvis. Tickets are $20, $35 for two. For more info see attached flyer.
