Listed below are only the events I have for the next 14+ days here in the Metro Detroit area, of which there are 9 new items. You can also go to the Legion 328 website to download any flyer for these and future events (thru May) at  http://www.legionpost328.org/events.html 
If your group has an event benefiting veterans, or you hear of an event, please share with me so I can share with the veteran community.  I would rather get an event 3 times than not at all!  Please make sure any flyer lists address of event and a contact person!

"Weekly Detroit RUCK" Every Sunday Team Red/White/Blue, and 22 Until None, are hosting a RUCK starting at 10AM at Bobcat Bonnie's, 1800 Michigan, Detroit. Ends back at Bobcat Bonnie's around noon, about 4 to 6 mile RUCK. Bring any weight or none! For more info email Mike at Team RWB.
"The Wall That Heals" The Wall that Heals, an exact replica of the Wall in Washington, DC, from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, is coming to Howell at the Livingston County Spencer Hardy Airport August 23rd thru 26th. This event is hosted by DAV chapter 125. Help is needed with set-up, Honor Guard, teardown. If you can be of help call Anne Marie at 313-898-1086 or goto their website. "Tuesday thru Saturday, May 15 thru 19, 2018" On Tuesday the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) Memorial is coming to Northville High School, 45700 Six Mile. Tuesday: new traveling wall for those who were killed from 9/11 to present and adding all the time. Will gather at the Michigan Center off of I-75 at 9:30 a.m, waiting for arrival of the Wall. Patriot Guard, American Legion Riders and more. Northville High School put this on, we will escort from I-75 to Northville High School and put it up, just as we have for The Vietnam Wall and The Wall That Heals. Need to be there on time. First time this Remembrance Wall has been in Michigan. Wednesday: Memorial open to public at 10AM. Thursday: Opening ceremonies at 4PM, softball game with vets at 6PM. Friday: All sort of activities starting at 5PM, with a concert at 7. Saturday 5K run at 8:30am, baseball games start at 11AM. Bottom Line: Lots of activities all week. "Thursday, May 17, 2018 " Soldiers' Angels is hosting another free food for vets mobile pantry from Noon till 2PM at the American Legion Post 375, 19486 Sherwood, Detroit. You must register in advance at 210-629-0020. See flyer for more info.
"Friday or Saturday, May 18 or 19, 2018" The FCA Foundation is making it possible for Veterans to attend a special Veterans Military Night at the DSO, 3711 Woodward, Detroit, for just $10. "Saturday, May 19, 2018" Michigan Women Veterans Empowerment is hold a Yard Sale with lots of new items up for grabs. 19935 Orleans, Detroit, from 10AM till 6PM. All proceeds go to help veterans. For more info see flyer.
"Saturday, May 19, 2018" (CANCELED) The 2nd annual Warriors Path Run/Walk will be held at Christ the King Church, 1550 W Drahner Rd, Oxford, with start times depending if doing the 10K (9AM), 5K (9:15AM), or 1 Mile (10AM). For complete info, and to register, see flyer.
"Saturday, May 19, 2018" The Detroit Wolverine Chapter 67, Women's Army Corps Veterans' Association, is hosting its 76th annual Anniversary & Scholarship Dinner Dance at Lyskawa-Tutro VFW Post, 7546, 6828 Waverly, Dearborn Hgts, from 4 till 10PM. "Saturday, May 19, 2018" Toledo Speedway, along with the Brad Keselowski Checkered Flag Foundation, will honor all veterans & active duty military with free admission to the races that day, which are trial runs. "Sunday, May 20, 2018 (NEW)" Wins for Warriors Foundation, Team RWB and Team Rubicon are hosting a military and veteran family fun day at Punch Bowl Social (1331 Broadway St., Detroit, MI 48226) in Downtown Detroit, from 3 till 6PM. "Tuesday, May 22, 2018 " On behalf of Eisenhower Center, the Ladies Professional Golf Association, and the Selfridge ANGB Golf Course, we would like to extend an invitation to the 2018 Valor Cup. "Friday, May 25, 2018 " George Washington American Legion Post 88 will host its' Poppy Fund Drive & Dinner at the Shriners Silver Gardens Event Center, 24350 Southfield Rd, Southfield, starting at 6PM. Dinner is $30. For more info see flyer.

"Saturday, May 26, 2018" (NEW) As part of the LPGA Volvik Golf Tournament, the U of M Student Veterans Association (SVA) is hosting their 3rd annual memorial Day 5K starting at 7:30AM. Parking at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds next to the Travis Pointe Country Club. Shuttle busses to event. Fee is $25 and includes a free lunch for veterans at the 9th hole. "Sunday, May 27, 2018" (NEW) The Great Lakes National Cemetery Advisory Council is asking all to attend the Memorial Ceremony to Honor Fallen Veterans starting at 1PM, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly. MG Clark LeMasters will be the keynote speaker. For more information see flyer or call 248-858-0785.
"Monday, May 28, 2018" The VFW & Jimmy John's invites all veterans for an afternoon of baseball at Jimmy John's Field, Utica, starting at 1PM. Gates open at Noon. Free food, group photo, hold the flag on the field, etc. For more info call Laura at 586-469-5315 or see flyer.
"Monday, May 28, 2018" Come see the Detroit Tigers play the LA Angles. Receive two tickets, one for a veteran and one for their guest. Game at 1:10PM. To receive your tickets you must contact Operation Injured Soldiers at 248-437-3130 with your name, telephone number, and any physical restrictions.
"Wednesday, May 30, 2018" Southfield VFW Post 2645 Auxiliary is hosting a Cards & Game Night, and on every last Wednesday of the month, from 5 till 9PM. Located at 24222 W 9 Mile, Southfield. For a complete listing see flyer.
