"Snow Removal Help for Disabled Vets" A new program to assist disabled vets with their snow removal has been started by EverGreen in partership with BOSS Snowplow. For more information call 877-758-4835 or see their attached letter.
"Housing Assistance for Vets" A new VA program, Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) is being run by Southwest Solutions to help low income vets moved into a home of their own. Contact Tamika at Southwest at 313-963-6601, ext 4207. For more infomation see the attached flyer.
EVENTS!
"Monday, January 5, 2015" CARE of SE Michigan is starting a program to assist female veterans with problems of trauma, substance abuse, etc., at the Macomb Intermediate School District, 44001 Garfield, Clinton Twp, from 6 to 8PM, every Monday till March 5th. Cost is $30 but can be waived. For more info see flyer.
"Wednesday, January 7, 2015 (NEW)" The Yankee Air Museum will be hosting another in their free seminars, starting at 7PM in the General Purpose Room. The subject for this seminar will be a "Dress Rehearsal for the Arsenal," about Detroit's involvement in World War 1. The museum is located at Willow Run Airport. See flyer for more information.
"Thursday, January 15, 2015" The University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law is offering a free legal clinic at SS Peter & Paul Church, 438 St Antoine, Detroit, from 9 to 11AM.
