Detroit Area Job Fair and Town Hall meeting Tuesday August 16th, 2011 - 60 Plus Employers

 TO HOST JOBS FAIR TUESDAY, AUGUST 16, 2011

WHO:        Congressman Hansen Clarke, Congressman John Conyers, Jr., 60 plus employers with more than 1,000 available positions, and members of the community.

WHAT:      “For the People” Jobs Fair and town hall meeting. 

This free jobs fair and more will include public and private sector employers and job readiness workshops and seminars.  Immediately following the jobs fair, will be a town hall meeting to discuss jobs creation and strengthening the economy. Members of the Congressional Black Caucus will be present, including Chairman Emanuel Cleaver II (MO-5), Maxine Waters (CA-35), Ed Towns (NY-10), Danny K. Davis (IL-7), and Gregory Meeks (NY-6).

MSNBC correspondent Jeff Johnson will moderate the town hall meeting.

WHEN:      Tuesday, August 16, 2011
                   “For the People” Jobs Fair: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
                   Town Hall: 6:00 p.m.

(LANSING) - The Michigan American Legion now has an accredited Veteran service officer available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week.
