Michigan American Legion Expand Veteran Services in Lansing

(LANSING) - The Michigan American Legion now has an accredited Veteran service officer available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week.

The American Legion Veteran service officer services all veterans and their families with filing claims to the Veterans Administration on the veteran's behalf or to check the status of a claim already filed.

Veterans and current service members in the Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties now have more opportunities to file their claim or ask questions.

Centrally located in the tri-county area at 212 N. Verlinden Ave., Lansing, MICH 48915, no appointment needed.  Office hours are from 8:30 am until 5 p.m.  Veterans may call ahead to ensure they are available at (517) 371-4720, ext 23.

Put the American Legion on your side when it comes to dealing with the U.S. Department of Veterans Administration.   There is no charge for this service and we will represent you until the case is over.

The American Legion Department of Michigan represents over 70,000 members in the State of Michigan. The American Legion was founded in 1919, based on “The Four Pillars”; veteran rehabilitation, Americanism, child welfare, and national security and continued above all its mission as a consumers’ advocate for veterans. For more information contact the Michigan Legion at 517-371-4720 ext 16, mark@michiganlegion.org, or visit our website at www.michiganlegion.org.
