A Fisher House to be Built adjacent to the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center Seeking Doantions

Fisher House Michigan/Build It For The Brave, Inc. is a 501c3 organization formed last May to assist with the development, approval, and fundraising of the $3.5 million project for the FY18/19 construction at the VA in Ann Arbor. This facility is for the families and caregivers of our veterans receiving care at the VA. A no charge lodging facility supported by our group, the VA and Veterans Service Organizations in Michigan like you. We plan to have literature specific to our mission which we would like to have you send to all chapters, posts, and organizations in a month (mid-Jan).

Please forward this to your commanders and state officers/staff members. We would like to see State level donations as well as post/chapter projects to be developed now and over the next two to three years. More information will follow in a few weeks.

Please join us to make this a highly successful campaign for our veterans and families in need.  This project should be highly promoted within all communities and VCAT regions within the state. I may be reached for additional information as listed below.

(LANSING) - The Michigan American Legion now has an accredited Veteran service officer available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week. The American Legion Veteran service officer services all veterans and their families with filing claims to the Veterans Administration on the veteran's behalf or to check the status of a claim already filed.
