"Free Legal Services" The Legal Aid & Defender Association, Inc., is hosting numerous (17 to be exact) free legal clinics (priority for vets) in both Oakland & Macomb counties for the next 6 months, all starting at 10AM. "More Free Legal Services!" The Wayne County Friend of the Court is hosting outreach assistance where you can discuss your FOC issues. There are numerous locations for the next couple of months so see flyer for times and places where you can get your issues resolved.

"Help support Buddy-2-Buddy (IMPORTANT)" The Buddy-to-Buddy Volunteer Veteran Program needs your help to keep this critical program in place in order to continue to support thousands of Michigan veterans and service members. Visit www.friends.umich.edu/buddy-to-buddy and help support Buddy-to-Buddy in its goal to generate the funding that enables the program and its volunteers to help Michigan's service members and veterans.

"Peace of Mind for us older vets!" As we all get older we need to start thinking about our medical records, a living will, a regular will, funeral expenses, etc. The State Bar of Michigan has put together a terrific booklet covering these topics with forms you can fill out at home to cover a simple will, living will, etc. Take a look to see if you should do any of this!

"Saturday, July 30, 2016" The Wayne State Student Vets are hosting their 6th Annual Golfing for Veterans tournament at the Links of Novi, 50395 W 10 Mile, Novi, with a shotgun start at 1:30PM. For more info call Pat at 313-577-4753 or see flyer.

"Saturday, July 30, 2016" Labadie Auto is sponsoring the CUMA 2 Mile Run and Pig Roast starting at 10AM at Great Lakes Harley Davidson in Sanford. Run will have 4 stops and end with a dinner at the Sanford American Legion Post. Cost is $20 per bike, $10 per rider. Funds raised supports the Fallen & Wounded Soldier Fund. "Saturday, July 30, 2016" VVA 154 & Wolverine Harley-Davison are hosting the annual Ride for Hospitalized Veterans. The ride will leave Wolverine, 44660 Gratiot, Clinton Twp, at 10AM to end at the Detroit VA Hospital on John R in Detroit. "Monday, August 1, 2016" Arrow Strategies' is hosting its 2016 Operation Restore Valor Golf Outing at Plum Hollow County Club, 21631 Lahser, Southfield, with a 9:30AM shotgun start. For complete information and registration form see flyer.

"Wednesday, August 3, 2016" Southfield VFW Post 2645 is having an all you can eat spaghetti dinner at their post, located at 24222 W 9 Mile, Southfield, starting at 5PM. Donation of $6 is requested. For more info see flyer.

"Wednesday, August 3, 2016" The Yankee Air Museum is presenting another in their FREE series on air power & WWII. Tonight's discussion will be 50 Years of Air Warfare, presented by Lon Nordeen. Again it is free and starts at 7:30PM in the General Purpose room at the museum, Willow Run Airport.

"Wednesday, August 3, 2016" This will be Veterans Night at Comerica Park as they play the Chicago White Sox, starting at 7PM. "Friday, August 5, 2016" Advanced Cable is hosting their 2nd annual Bark-E-Que to raise money to support Stiggy's Dogs (Anew hope for every vet, a second chance for every dog) at Barrister Gardens, 24225 Harper, St Clair Shores, from 5 till 10 PM. "Saturday, August 6, 2016" The Fallen & Wounded Soldier Fund is hosting a Party with a Purpose to help support the troops. It will take place at Stee & Kathy's, 6264 Kingon Fr, Brighton, starting at 5PM. Entertainment by the Fallen Heroes. Cost is $30. For reservations call 248-860-4642 and see flyer.

"Sunday, August 7, 2016" Everyone is invited to the 69th Annual Victory in Japan Day Service to honor the Gold Star Mothers. This will take place at the White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, 621 W Long Lake Rd, Troy, starting at 11AM. Lunch afterwards at Old Settles Post 4659. For more info see flyer.
