Detroit Veterans Day parade update
SAVE THE DATE!!!
Keep the date of Sunday, November 6 penciled in to remember the Veterans who are no longer with us, as well as those that are. Staging begins at 10:00 AM at Martin Luther King HS, on Larned St....Parade stepoff at 12:00 A.M (noon) from Jefferson at Chene.
The MDVC is working on a number of things -
Web-site, at www.detroitveteransdayparade.org is ''Under construction'' in some area...
We are working on an ''on-line'' registration form for easier registration..
The Run for Vets, just prior to the parade...
Vets Fest to be held in Hart Plaza, after the parade.
I encountered James Jackson, SEN Peters' aide, at the City of Southfield Memorial Day service. He reconfirmed that SEN Peters (LDCR Peters USNR, RET) will be our Grand Marshal.
