"Buddy-2-Buddy Job Fairs" The B2B network, which works with veterans on a large number of items, is hosting a large number of job fairs around the state of Michigan for the next several weeks.  "Buddy-to-Buddy Volunteer Veteran Program The Buddy-to-Buddy Program is a peer-to-peer outreach program that provides peer support and connection to resources for Michigan Post-9/11 service members and veterans. The program places Volunteer Veterans at MIARNG armories to offer resource linkage to current service members as well as places them in the community to help any veteran in need. Volunteers are trained to help veterans find resources for a variety of concerns, such as: financial, VA benefits, education, emotional challenges, substance abuse, legal, medical, or employment. This service is completely free and confidential. The program is part of the M-SPAN suite of programs serving military service members, veterans, and their families, funded by the Welcome Back Veterans initiative. "Free Shrine Circus Tickets" The Shrine Circus is honoring all Veterans & Military familes with a free presentation of the circus at the Hazel Park Racetrack, 10 Mile, Hazel Park. on Thursday the 19th.. Presentation of colors at 6:30 with opening night show starting at 7PM. You may RSVP to get your free tickets starting on 2/23/15. .

"Thursday, March 12, 2015" The Detroit Red Wings, along with Patriots Hockey, is having special discount tickets to their hockey game, with prices from $30 to $50, at the Joe in downtown Detroit, 7PM. $10 of each ticket sold will be donated to Semper Fi Fund to help veterans in need. Bring your ticket stub back on March 29th for free admission to the Patriots will face off against the Detroit Engineers. "Thursday, March 12, 2015" The Purposed Transition Institute is holding a Purpose Discovery Program for Veterans at the UofM Fairlane Center (Down the street from Ritz Carlton/Henry Hotel and across the street from A&W Restaurant) 19000 Hubbard Drive Dearborn, from 8AM till 5PM. Learn how to dress to impress, networking, workshops, etc. Cost to veterans is free to attend, and tables may be reserved for those vendors with items of interest. "Friday, March 13, 2015" St Paul's Lutheran Church, 200 N Cedar, Imlay City, is hosting a K-9 Veterans's Day to honor those that serve guard and protect our troops, county & communities. Please join them for a military service to honor our 4 legged heros, starting at 7PM. Admission is free. See flyer for more info.

"Saturday, March 14, 2015" Lake Orion UAW is once again hosting a Veterans Benefits Awareness Class at their local hall, 180 E Suverbell, Lake Orion, from 9:30 to 3PM. Not only can you get your questions answered you will learn the ins & outs of claims, how to process, etc, taught by the top people at the VFW claims section in downtown Detroit. "Sunday, March 15, 2015" The MI Military Technical & Historical Society presents another in their lectures on WW II. The guest speaker is Ed Danell, 5th Marine Div, Iwo Jima. Lecture is from 2 till 4PM, admission by donation. For more info see flyer.

"Tuesday, March 17, 2015" St Clair Shores VFW Post is hosting a St Patrick's Day Party at their post, 28404 Jefferson, St Clair Shores, starting at 4PM. Cost is $5 at the door and includes beverages, corned beef sandwiches, hot dogs, and more. Dance to the Misty Blues. For more info see flyer.

"Tuesday, March 17, 2015" Am Legion Post 4 will present a Saint Patrick's Day Dance, starting at 11am till 6:30PM. Located at 401 N Groesbeck, Mt Clemens. Cost is $10 for dinner, $7 for a sandwich. For more info see flyer.

"Tuesday, March 17, 2015 (NEW)" Fort Dearborn Am Legion Post 364 will present a Saint Patrick's Day Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner, starting at Noon and run till the food runs out!. "Thursday, March 19, 2015" The University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law is offering a free legal clinic at SS Peter & Paul Church, 438 St Antoine, Detroit, from 9 to 11AM. "Thursday, March 19, 2015" American Indian Veterans of Michigan, & VVA Chaper 154, are hosting a Karaoke Night at their clubhouse, 26641 Lawrence, Center Line. You must be a member of either group to attend. Event runs from 5 till 10PM and is free. This is a non alcohol event. See flyer for more info.

"Sunday, March 22, 2015" The Shrine Circus will be at the Hazel Park Raceway, 10 Mile in Hazel Park, hosting a free Veterans Appreciation Night, starting at 5PM. Tickets are free but at this time parking will be $7. Stay tuned for more information.

"Thursday, March 26, 2015" The Patriot Week Organization is hosting its 2nd annual Patrick Henry Event at the Community House, 360 S Bates, Birmingham, from 7 to 8:30PM. Guest speakers include Oakland County Exec L. Brooks Patterson & Colonel Philip Sheridan, 127th Vice Wing Commander at Selfridge. General admission is $50. For more information see flyer.

"Saturday, March 28, 2015 (NEW)" The War Dog Memorial Association will be holding their annual Spring Clean-Up at the cemetery, 25805 Milford Rd, S Lyon, from 10AM to 3PM. They could use some help so bring your rake or gas powered blower out to the cemetery and lend a hand. For more info contact Phil at 248-685-8307.

"Saturday, March 28, 2015" The St Clair Shores VFW Post 1146 is hosting a Welcome Vietnam Veterans Day with live entertainment, munchies, & more, all for free, starting at 3PM till 7PM. The post is located at 28404 Jefferson, St Clair Shores. See flyer for more info.
