Happy New Year!

"Snow Removal Help for Disabled Vets" A new program to assist disabled vets with their snow removal has been started by EverGreen in partership with BOSS Snowplow. For more information call 877-758-4835 or see their attached letter.

"Fallen & Wounded Soldiers Fund Interview" The FWSF is an organization here in Michigan that assist veterans in financial need, many here in the tri-county area. EVENTS!

"Wednesday, January 7, 2015" The Yankee Air Museum will be hosting another in their free semiars, starting at 7PM in the General Purpose Room. The subject for this seminar will be a "Dress Rehearsal for the Arsenal," about Detroit's involvement in World War 1. The museum is located at Willow Run Airport. See flyer for more information.

"Thursday, January 15, 2015" The University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law is offering a free legal clinic at SS Peter & Paul Church, 438 St Antoine, Detroit, from 9 to 11AM. Today's help will focus on Tenant Rights. To register call Alesa at the Law School at 313-596-0258. See flyer for other upcoming clinics.

"Saturday, January 17, 2015 (NEW)" The American Legion Rider's Post 32 are hosting their 9th annual Polar Bear Steak Fry from 5 to 8PM at their post, located at 9318 Newburgh Rd, Livonia. Cost is $18, non dinner is $10. Includes 10oz New York Strip, baked patato, etc. For more information contact Debbie at 734-502-7274 or see flyer.

"Friday, January 23, 2015 (NEW)" Autumn Woods Health Care Facility is hosting a fund raiser for Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 154 at Sterling Lanes, 33200 Schoenherr Rd, Sterling Hgts, from 6 to 8PM. Admission at the door is $15 but $10 if paid in advance, which includes blowling, shoes, pop, & pizza. For more information contact Kim at 586-306-0976 or see flyer.

(LANSING) - The Michigan American Legion now has an accredited Veteran service officer available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week. The American Legion Veteran service officer services all veterans and their families with filing claims to the Veterans Administration on the veteran's behalf or to check the status of a claim already filed. Veterans and current service members in the Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties now have more opportunities to file their claim or ask questions. Centrally located in the tri-county area at 212 N.
