"Harley Davidson Raffle" V.V.A. Chapter 154 is raffling off a 2014 Harley Davidson Road King C V O. Tickets are $20 with the drawing on June 29th at the "Ride For Freedom." Tickets are available at the veterans support center, 16945 12 Mile, in Roseville, or at Wolverine Harley Davidson in Mt. Clemens
"Oakland County Parks will recycle old Christmas Trees" Oakland County Parks and Recreation offers 11 park locations to make holiday cleanup easy and environmentally friendly by recycling Christmas trees. Dec. 26, 2013 – Jan. 13, 2014, seven days a week. 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Addison Oaks near Oxford; Catalpa Oaks in Southfield; Glen Oaks Golf Course in Farmington Hills; Groveland Oaks near Holly; Independence Oaks in Clarkston; Lyon Oaks in Lyon Township; Orion Oaks in Orion Township; Red Oaks Golf Course in Madison Heights; Springfield Oaks in Davisburg; Waterford Oaks in Waterford; and White Lake Oaks Golf Course in White Lake. Independence Oaks and Orion Oaks county parks will offer extended Christmas tree recycling dates from Dec. 26, 2013 – Feb. 3, 2014.

"Monday, January 13, 2014 (NEW)" The Women Supporting Women Veterans group is having a speaker at their monthly meeting, Ms Pamela Pemberton, to discuss medical sexual trauma, starting at 7PM. This meeting is free and open to all. The meeting will be held at 2/42 Community Church, 7526 Grand River, in Brighton. Space is limited so call in advance 810-231-0190. See flyer for more info.
"Saturday, January 18, 2014" Rose Hup - Pup Tent 24, Military Order of the Cootie, is hosting its 48th Annual Cootie Champagne Dance, with doors opening at 5PM, dinner at 6PM, and dancing starting at 7:30PM. Event will be held at Roseville VFW Post 2358, located at 25671 Gratiot, Roseville. Advance tickets are $25. To order tickets call 586-771-0173 or see attached.
"Saturday, January 18, 2014 (NEW)" The Oakland County Veterans Group is hosting its annual Pancake Breakfast at Chili's, 3940 Baldwin Rd, Auburn Hills, from 8:30 to 10:30AM. $5 for an all you can eat breakfast. Contact Doug at 248-431-1057 for more information or advane tickets. Flyer here!
