ANNOUNCEMENTS!

"4th Annual Cold Weather Clothing Drive" The Wayne State University Student Veterans Organization is looking for winter clothing for our less fortunate veterans, and their familes. You can drop off at the SVA office at Wayne or they will pick them up. 

EVENTS

"Thursday, December 5, 2013 (NEW)" Firebird Tavern, 419 Monroe St, Detroit, is hosting a Whouille from 7 to 10PM, to raise money and collect toys for the Marine Corps Toy's 4 Tots program. See attached for more information.

"Saturday, December 7, 2013" Stagecrafters at the Balwin Theatre in Royal Oak is offering free tickets to Veterans for this show only, The Fantastics, starting at 8PM. See their website or call 248-541-6430 and use code VETTHX. See attached for more info.

"Saturday, December 7, 2013" Troy VFW Post 4037 & the Troy Police Department are hosting a Remember Pearl Harbor Day at the post starting at 8PM, located at 2375 E Maple, Troy. Donation of $10 at the door for food, cash bar, etc., with all proceeds to support the Holiday Food & Gift Fund. Clothing items are also welcome for both men and women vets. "Sunday, December 8, 2013" The Oakland County Pioneer & Historical Society is hosting a Veterans Victorian Christmas Open House at the Pine Grove Museum/The Wisner Home, 405 Cesar Chavez Ave, Pontiac, from 1 to 5PM. Presentation of colors, exhibits, etc., to honor Pearl Harbor. Adult is $5, $10 for a family of 5. See attached for complete program and other details.
